On 7th of July 2018, there will be another charity hike and this one, which is the seventh of its kind, will follow what has become the traditional route:

For a minimum entry fee of €20 (all of which will go to a good cause), you can join in by catching the boat from the town hall square to the starting point in Altmünster (meet at 10.00 a.m. in the mountain marathon marquee in the town hall square). From the landing stage in Altmünster, we will follow the hiking trail up to the Gmundnerberghaus mountain hut and restaurant before heading in the direction of Gmunden via the "original mountain marathon route". This will take us past the historic Eggerhaus farmstead, over the hill and back down to the lake. We will then walk along the Gmunden esplanade until we reach our destination: the town hall square in Gmunden.
